Gbenga Aruleba and Imoni Amarere sacked at AIT

Two popular television presenters and editors Gbenga Aruleba and Imoni Amarere of Africa Independent Television (AIT) have been sacked from their posts by the management of the TV station ostensibly because of an interview that was granted by a Human Rights Activist who disagreed with the judgement that released Hamza Al ’Mustapha.

The activist Mr.Richard Akinnola had suggested that Al’Mustapha was released so as to pacify the northern establishment in the run up to the 2015 elections. The announcement was made in the 8pm news bulletin of the station.
